32 babies died in Ontario in 2016 because they were placed in an unsafe sleeping environment such as a stroller or couch. No mother should have to choose between paying her rent or buying a crib for her baby.
Sleep Tight in the Community
Over 2016-2017, the Hope for Children Fund supported has supported149 families with the purchase of a brand new crib for their little ones. Read two mom's stories on how having a crib and support from the Catholic Children's Aid Society of Toronto and The Hope for Children Fund has helped them and their families:
Your support provides parents of babies with the necessities that ensure their little ones are safe when they are put down to sleep. Providing a safe crib, along with educating parents on the importance of safe sleeping practices will help ensure that infants are out of harms way.
You can give the gift of safety and security
- A $25 donation will pay for a sleep sac.
- A $100 donation will pay for a mattress.
- A $275 donation will pay for a crib.
- A $400 donation will pay for a crib, mattress and a sleep sac.
